pve 9.1.1 to 9.2

hi all,

i want to update my pve from 9.1.1 to 9.2, im using the free version

im looking at this guide

ive edited my "debian.sources" but do i need to edit my ceph.sources even tho im on the free version

Updating from 9.x to the latest 9.y (or within any major release) can be simple done this way: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#system_software_updates
I don't expect you to need to change your repositories at all. That's only needed between major versions (like 8.4 to the latest 9.y) and a little more involved.

so basically same version

# apt-get update
# apt-get dist-upgrade

but different versions you need to update sources list, is there a good how to guide on the sources list to use as im on the free version

Or use the Proxmox web GUI. The manual I linked also describes the repositories (enterprise, no-subscription, test), which can also be enabled/disabled via the web GUI.
When a new major version is released then there is a extended upgrade guide that also describes the repositories. There is the one for PVE 8 to 9 for example: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_8_to_9

what about ceph when it says enterprise, do i still use that even tho im on free version

my bad theres a no subscription for ceph

In this section the manual states (about the Ceph enterprise repository):

It is accessible if the Proxmox VE node has a valid subscription of any level.

So it's probably not usable without a support subscription.
