PVE 9.0.9 RHEL 10 - Unable to boot

Hi Folks,

We're trying to run rocky 10 / Alma 10 / RHEL 10 on proxmox without any luck.
We've tried several configuration cpu type (host, ...) , UEFI, Secure boot it wasn't able too boot and either it restart immediately after grub or is even to boot.

Are we missing a key information about RHEL 10 and proxmox support ?
BTW RHEL 8 - 9 are fine.

The only thing that comes to mind is that Rocky 10 and RHEL 10 needs "x86-64-v3" or newer as cpu type, Alma 10 should work with "x86-64-v2".

There is a version of Alma 10 that works with x86-64-v2 but there's also one that requires x86-64-v3.
 
I'm running into an installation error trying to install RHEL 10 on 8.4. I did see the warning about the need to x86-64-v3 support. I am using a 12th gen Intel i5 12500t. I assumed a fairly recent Intel CPU would fully support the v3 requirements. Is there anything in the BIOS configuration that could be limiting the v3 support in Proxmox?
 
Thanks. Yes, all the virtualization support (3 BIOS VT settings) is enabled in the BIOS. So I don't understand what would be limiting the x86-64-v3 support. Intel VT, VT Direct I/O and Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) all enabled.

On our side the problem was that the CPU didn't offer AVX AVX2 processor features. When we switched somewhere else it worked perfectly.

Problem with this was pilot error. I didn't realize I needed to set the CPU/Processor setting explicitly to x86-64-v3 in the VM properties. Once that got set it all worked flawlessly. And in speaking with a colleague who is more knowledgeable in Proxmox than me, he recommended just set "host" (all the way at the bottom of the list) to simply open up all the host specific CPU capabilities to the VM.
