Hi all,
I have a problem installing Proxmox from USB. I'm trying to install it on an old notebook Onda Oliver:

Intel N3450 (Quad-Core) @ 2,2GHz
8 GB Ram DDR4
HD SSD 256 GB
GPU Intel HD Graphics 500

After the first loading page, the system remains stuck on a gray page which should be the one where the contractual conditions to be accepted appear.
The errors I receive are those highlighted in the image:
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'polyval_clmulni': No such device
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'intel_telemetry_debugfs': Unknown symbol in module

Let me start by saying that I tried to create USB support with both Balena Etcher and Rufus but nothing changes.
I had thought it was a problem with the USB device but when I tried on a second HP laptop with the same support the installation started correctly without errors and in fact I displayed the contractual conditions page correctly (I didn't complete the installation but everything seems to work fine ).
Would anyone know how to help me? Thank you all.

Encountering a similar error while attempting a PVE 8.3-1 install from USB on a desktop PC:

System Model Dell OptiPlex 3040
System Type x64-based PC
Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G4400 @ 3.30GHz, 3312 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. 1.20.1, 7/14/2022
SMBIOS Version 3.0
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 12.0 GB
512 GB HDD

After starting the install in graphical mode, I am dropped on the same screen, except i get:

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'polyval_clmulni': No such device
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'intel_pmc_core_pltdrv': No such device

and my system also cannot find the ISO for ZVE 8.3-1.
after testing /dev/sr0 and /dev/sdb several times, the system gives me:
[ERROR] no device with valid ISO found, please check your installation medium

I should mention that in my case the initial boot failed and I got to the Proxmox install GUI by running configfile (hd0,1,2)/efi/boot/grub.cfg from GRUB. I suspect the installer is checking the wrong device for the image and will investigate how to resolve that, but would love any ideas the community has. (sorry for photo glare)

OP, did you ever find a resolution for your issue? Or manage to install despite it?

I never solved the problem but I installed it from the terminal and everything still worked perfectly.
