PVE 7.1: SMB1 / sharing with WinXP VM

So I still have an old XP VM with which I need to share a couple of file folders. With PVE 6, I've been using samba on the Proxmox machine to share folders as SMB1 with that VM. Now, with PVE 7 and Debian Bullseye, Samba has been promoted to/above 4.13, which appears to have removed support for SMB1 (for good reasons, I know - but still).

I've looked into other ways of sharing a folder with the XP VM, and the only alternative I was able to read about was nfs via Windows Service for Unix 3.5 (SFU 3.5). However, this has not only run out of support by Microsoft, but Microsoft has also cancelled the download options for this...

Any idea for how to re-enable SMB1 on Samba with PVE 7 (setting min protocol in smb.conf doesn't work), or any other, still working option with downloadable options to share folders with Windows XP, please?
