Purge from job configurations replication behavior

Up-to-date PVE 7.2 with ZFS as VM/LXC-storage on source and target.

If I remove a replication job under Node -> Replication, the disk on the target side gets also deleted. That is what I am expecting, but:
If I tick the "Purge from job configurations" box while removing a VM/LXC, the corresponding replication job gets also removed as expected, but the disk on the target side gets not deleted.

Is this the intended behavior?
