Hello, I've been trying to set up public network access for the last two days with Proxmox on an OVH server. How do I do it? I have a Failover-IP because I thought I might try it but so far I have failed to configure it as well. My network looks like this(I added vmbr2 as part of my failed config): Is it because eth0 and eth1 are inactive? Everything is debian 7

Can someone help me with this? I've tried days with every possible configuration that comes to min but nothing works.

I think ethX that are slaves in vmbr should be active...
have you access to /etc/network/interfaces?
I don't know OVH but isn't there any guide there?

ok I've never used pve on hosted machines, only local, private, and nly used prived addresses, until now.
with that in mind, I've learned that if you have a slave ethX port in vmbrX, that should be present in that file, as

iface ethX inet manual

as reported also here http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Network_Model

in that page there's also some alternative config for "hosting providers" not supporting the default setup

if you can fully control your hosted machine, you should be able to use the default config, afaik. Provider support could help you, perhaps, with those info.
