Prune Jobs vs Backup Job Retention - [SOLVED]

Hi Guys

I'm a little unsure what method I should be using to prune old backup jobs.

On my Datacenter => Backup schedules I have this retention period set for each backup job.




And on the proxmox backup server I did have the following in the Prune Jobs.



Am I meant to use one or the other and not both?

Most of us are using the pruning jobs in PBS.
It's easier to keep track of there, because its all in one place.

If you have a job that pushes data to a NAS instead of a PBS, definitely setup pruning in the backup job.

@tcabernoch Thank you for your reply. Yes I do have a NAS attached as the storage point so I'll do as you suggested.
