Wouldn't it be better to offer garbage collection as an option in a prune job instead of as a meager, standalone entry in the WebUI?

You need 24 hours + 5 minutes between the prune and GC or no space will be freed up. So there is a good point why those jobs are separated. Or you might want a hourly prune but a monthly GC, as the prune is very cheap but the GC expensive and might run for days instead minutes.
Or you never define a single prune job on the PBS because you are manually deleting snapshots or you let PVEs backup job do the pruning. Then you only want to run the GC in the PBS without any prune.
