Hi to all

Excuse me if I make a thread with my problem that isn't directly related with PVE (but Mr. Google don't help me)

Since much time ago i want to have a proxy software that have this requirements:
1- The packages must be Open Source or free for use it.
2- Via Web can be managed, with all or most the principal options that have the squid proxy
3- The packages can be installed on CentOS 6.x
4- Make reports of audit that can be to see in Web mode
5- The reports can do it with several filters as "initial date to end date", by domain, by user, by month, week, day, etc.

Note: in matter of reports, Sarg for me is excelent, but unfortunately this software don't brings the manager of squid proxy.

6- If don't exist the packages that i am searching for install on CentOS with these requeriments (points 1 to 3), a software appliance will be good (that have all the requeriments mentioned above - points 1 to 5), but in this case I will need too these requirements: With support of virtio-block and virtio-net for install it as VM in PVE.

If somebody can help me with this problem, i will be very grateful

Best regards
Cesar

Astaro /sophos, endian firewall, pfsense, ipfire, etc. Could all do this.

Personally I use sophos UTM in transparent bridge mode inline to my router to filter, Antivirus, firewall etc, but you could do something similar with any of these tools and point your machines to the IP of the proxy.

I love the sophos reporting and is the main reason I continue to use it.

Only caveat is that the free version I use is strictly for home use.

Many thanks pirateghost for your answer, but with sophos, i can to have only 50 users for my squid proxy (if i am not wrong). I want to use with more of 50 users.

As a 2nd option, which you believe that will be the best option for my requeriments (management and reports via web of a proxy)?

Best regards

ipfire. Installs flawlessly with virtio block and net, and have a sophisticated web configuration and web report facility. And no limits towards number of users. The web proxy can even be combined with QoS.
