Hello,
I am looking for ready-to-use material to give a workshop on Proxmox. I couldn't find any 'complete' material online. Maybe you have some on the shelf and are willing to share?
Background I do development cooperation projects as a volunteer in Cuba, Ethiopia and Uganda (more background info). In my projects, I have successfully introduced Proxmox in Cuba and Ethiopia. Luckily because of the ambitious staff, this worked very well. However, from time to time staff leave and knowledge isn't transferred. In the past I didn't use Proxmox myself, I only actively promoted it as an alternative to VMware and RHEL virtualisation platforms. Last year I started to use Proxmox myself and am confident now I could give a workshop (introductory, intermediate) about it. I have been using Linux since 2000.
The documentation is excellent, but compiling that into slides/labs is a daunting task. There are also many tutorials online, some of the good quality, but unfortunately, most of them miss a pedagogy aspect or are not suited for beginners. (Let's assume they have some basic Linux knowledge).
I know there is an official proxmox training. Although the pricing is very competitive, and I wouldn't mind paying for it, it is out of the reach of our project. Certainly, if you take into account if preferably the training is given on location (Ethiopia/Uganda), and not always in the best conditions. Also, training one person is putting all your eggs in one basket. I have done that before, and the outcome is mostly disappointing. A better result is gotten when a bigger group is trained. Spreading the risk of the impact of people leaving the organization.
I am posting this here in the hope, that someone could give some pointers or any other advice!
Thanks
Rudy
