I have setup a couple of Proxmox nodes with HA with the storage in SAN. However, I am unable to connect to the SAN storage from the Proxmox nodes. The setup is as follows

1. Two Proxmox Nodes with Public IP setup in HA.
2. A SAN storage (I have bought SAN storage from the Datacenter). They have provided me a discovery IP and a few IPs that I need to add in my nodes which will connect to the SAN.
3. A SAN switch.
4. Each node has a 10g adapter with two SFP ports. The fiber is connecting the nodes to the SAN switch.

The network team has configured the SAN switch so that it can communicate to the SAN storage. As per them, the switch is connecting to the SAN.

I am trying to setup the storage in the Proxmox cluster using iSCSI. However, it is not able to discover the LUN using the discovery IP. I have assigned the IP address the datacenter has provided to the 10g Adapter. To add the storage, I am following the steps provided in the Proxmox Wiki. Can someone tell me if I am missing something.

First make sure the network is ok. Are you able to ping the discovery IP adress ?

If you can ping the iscsi target server, tries the following command on the PVE host:
pvesm iscsiscan -portal ip_adress_of_the_server

this should output a list of iscsi targets

BTW I have seen your thead here: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-expert-needed.28667/

I could finally discover the LUN in one of the nodes. Second node does not connect to it though and I think there is some issue with incorrect cabling. I could add the storage and created a LVM for storing the VM images. Once the other node connects to SAN, I will achieve the HA capability. I took help from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18456410/iscsiadm-no-portals-found for correctly discovering the target.
