I purchase a Beelink EQ12 16GB ram 512GB SSD and two 2.5Gb ethernet ports.
I'd like to setup proxmox on this and then run pfsense in a VM and use this as my primary DHCP and DNS resolver. Just a little confused on setup.
1 ethernet would connect directly to the WAN and 1 would connect the LAN. I am thinking the WAN can be a direct passthrough to pfsense VM. I do not want proxmox to accessible from outside the local network. So I need proxmox to get its IP address from the pfsense running in VM.
I dont know if the LAN connection should be passthrough or bridge?
Seems like proxmox would need to boot, bring up the VM then get its IP from pfsense. Is that possible or am I creating a cyclical loop?
