Proxmox web gui stopped working

I have checked proxy and daemon services both are running fine no errors. I can ssh into it but cannot web gui. Please let me know what commands to run and I will post the output here.

Try from SSH session:

curl -sk https://[your_server_IP]:8006

If they work, you have a firewall problem, likely outside of PVE itself.

sorry working now. I was using tailscale vpn client and I think it was pending an update install. Now I can access web gui. I have other issues going on with error 500. Should I start another thread or can I continue here ?

Thank you for letting the forum know about the source of your issue.

Its up to you on whether to continue here or start from scratch. In my experience 0.01% of Web UI access issues are actually caused by PVE when one does standard, non-modified installation. The rest are user errors.

You can either troubleshoot the issue as is, or, if you have nothing important on the system yet, reinstall. Confirm that everything is working on a brand new basic installation, then do any addons and modifications. That way you will know what broke your system.
