I just downloaded the iso and burned it to a dvd. I booted the computer using the iso. It started to load. My monitor now has a message that Not Optimum Mode Recommended Mode: 1280x1024 60Hz. (Analog). How do I fix this? If I need to remote in from another pc, how do I do that? The dvd has stopped spinning, so I assume that the install has completed. Is there an installation manual somewhere?

Sounds like your monitor isn’t auto detecting the resolution. Do you get to the choice of graphical or terminal UI?

If I install the Terminal UI version, is there a way to upgrade it to GUI or switch to GUI?
There is no difference in the actual installation, that only affects whether the installer shows a full graphical interface or a terminal-based.
PVE normally doesn't use GUI locally anyway.
The GUI is by means of a web browser.
No matter which install option I choose, after some text scrolling by the monitor displays a message that Not Optimum Mode Recommended Mode: 1280x1024 60Hz. (Analog). I am using a 15-pin svga connection.
Just install Proxmox VE on top of Debian Trixie
.I've been doing that for several Years now since I also had VGA Issues back in the Days.

Is it just a warning / informational message? Or a hard error after which you can't continue the installation?
