Proxmox VE sources.list

Dear Communty members,

I'm using a proxmox server that my Server Provider proposed vs a VMware ESX.

The server is 2 years running and the sources.list stay on original version.

Dead I update the repo server ?

Did I upgrade ? or it's risky ?
I'm running 3 VMs, they are weekly bacuped ...

A simple "apt-get dist-upgrade" ?
