Proxmox VE performance 3.x Vs 6.x

It seems it came the day where I feel I must upgrade.

I'm left with a proxmox 3.4 on a HP microserver at home for a NAS Sever + some Minecraft vm servers for the kids etc.

Due to the hardware age I wonder if the lcx via the upgrade to 6.X will be worth the upgrade pain
 
Software updates to PVE should never reduce performance, if they do that's generally a regression. PVE is not Windows ;)

If anything, the newer version should run more stable (since it has way more fixes and improvements) and possibly faster (newer QEMU/KVM with more optimizations).
