Proxmox VE not working after repo change and upgrade

Hi. So I just switched over to the no-subscription repo, upgraded, and then restarted my server, and it broke on boot. Can't load the Web GUI, can't access SSH, none of the VMs booted. I don't think the server is completely gone, because I was able to login to root on the physical machine. Would love some direction, I really don't even know where to start, here.

You've provided no troubleshooting output so of course I am not sure. It's an educated guess.
You asked where to start and getting server on the network/ssh is a good first step.
If, as you said, the server boots and brings you to shell, then getting it on the network should be your goal, for easier troubleshooting later on.

Good luck

Given I can't access the thing via SSH, I have had to commit the cardinal sin of taking a picture of a screen.

I am sorry.

Edit: Attached files. Originally were too big and had to resize.

Edit 2: Experimenting some with stuff I found on google, I've found that the commands "ip link set enp34s0 up" and "dhclient enp34s0" get the NIC back online. Thusly, I can get into the webgui/ SSH. Problem is, even more stuff is broken, in there. A couple of different tasks/ functions tell me "bridge 'vmbr0' does not exist", but as far as I can tell the interfaces file is configured correctly for vmbr0. Any ideas?

I'd start looking at why the interface state is DOWN and there is no LOWER_UP. May be the cable fell out of the jack, or the card is not compatible with the kernel (search forum for issues with Realtek NICs).
If physically everything checks out, try to use "ip link set up" and similar to see if you can get the NIC to be up. Examine the log "journalctl -b0" for anything related to network card.

good luck

Did not see your edit...

If you brought up the interface up manually via "ip link set", then of course the vmbr will not be there. You'd need to do the same "link set" to vmbr to bring it up. But, it will be broken again when you reboot. So examine the logs to figure out why things are not happy. You can also try "systemctl restart network", look at status of services.
Good luck

Okay, set the interface up, got it to take an IP (have router access, assigned static to the machine, IP is consistent), got into the webgui and found that both the interface and the bridge were configured rather wonky in network settings, set them both to active and to start on boot. I got everything working with networking properly on boot.

Your suspicions were in fact correct, bbgeek17. Sorry for doubting you.

Now I need to tackle the general instability of my VMs. This was, in fact, the reason I switched to the correct repo and ran an upgrade in the first place. It does not seem to have helped.

Probably best if I need support to create a new thread for that.
