Hi,

I have taken over IT services for a private client, they have two Proxmox servers that the previous supplier installed, however, this supplier are not disclosing the username and password used to login.

The servers are configured with the Proxxox OS on mirrored drives and all other data on separate drives, If I do a clean install of Proxmox on the OS drives will I be able to import the VM's into the new OS in the same way as I could in vmWare or Hyper-V?

Thanks
Bobby

No, this will wipe the VM configurations and leave you only with the virtual disks.

The username is root (@pam). Since it's based on Debian GNU/Linux most "reset the root password" guide will probably apply (if you have physical access and/or a physical keyboard and display connected).
