Just installed Proxmox 7.4 on top of Debian Bullseye (my first installation). Debian was booting fine.

After installing pve kernel and rebooting the system hangs after “/dev/mapper/mserver—vg-root: clean …”
And screen turns green.

No further messages or activity.

I’m not sure what to do from here.

Hi,
what hardware are you running on?

Sounds like a graphics issue. Can you ping the host or even connect to it via ssh? Did you boot using the PVE kernel? Can you switch to a different virtual console by ctrl + alt + F1 or the like?
