I've read some information about multipath configuration and LVM over iSCSI in Proxmox VE.
But I have some questions is there possible configuration that can use built-in snapshot feature in HPE MSA fo backup proposes?
The goal would be if VM-storages can be mapped as separate volumes and backed-up on MSA, but managed in Proxmox GUI. HA is also needed for some of VMs.
The solution using shared LVM over iSCSI has some disadvantages such as:
- additional host I/O load during backups
- one volume on MSA with excedded size for VMs LVM volumes or multiple LUN volumes for LVM each VM with additional size for snapshots.
- above solutions has additional disadvantages considering performance monitoring
HPE MSA has ability to use REST interface for managing purposes, so is there any plugin or solution to use?
