Proxmox VE 1.6 ISO Installer does not work

just downloaded this latest installer but it does not run.
downloaded with checksum!!
cd starts and comes up with the boot: prompt
I hit 'enter'

error: missing kernel.

thx, but no! I had already tried a different CD and used 'verify' when burning the CD. I have now installed Proxmox on a clean Debian 64 machine. so for me the case is closed!!
