Hello,

I am running "proxmox-ve: 6.3-1 (running kernel: 5.4.78-2-pve)" and i would like to upgrade it to the latest proxmox version. Is there a way to upgrade the version without stopping all the vm and reboot proxmox and if not what is the best way to perform such an update.

Thank you

If you have a cluster of Proxmox VE nodes, you can migrate the VMs between the nodes, so that the node that is empty can be rebooted.

Then you will not get around to reboot the node to make use of newer kernels.

If it is so important that the VMs keep running, and you do not have a service window, you should consider building a cluster to make use of the high availability function. One node can always die.
