I have a few questions about the upgrade process for beta 2 when it comes out:

    1. How much will need to be be upgraded? (will anything related to the OS/qemu-server need updated)

    2. How painless will it be?

    3. Will all previous images remain functional in this version?

The plan is to update the following packages:

    pve-kernel-2.6.24, pve-kvm-2.6.24, pve-manager, qemu-server

Stop all VMs, stop qemu-server, run apt/deselect to update, then reboot to activate the new kernel.

Yes. The configuration format for kvm changed, but I included an automatic converter to makes updates painless.
