Hi!
I wanted to upgrade pve without subscription, but I used apt-get upgrade, instead of dist-upgrade.
This command upgraded the kernel from 6.2.16-3 to 6.2.16-6.
Proxmox could not boot with latest kernel and got the following errors:
-platform regulatory.0: Direct firmware load for regulatory.db failed with error -2
-cfg80211: failed to load regulatory.db

I could boot the previous kernel, but I still see the error. What could be the problem?

Hello, thank you for your answer, but I had to reinstall proxmox to fix this problem. It seems that not the upgrade was the problem. I guess the reason of error was Nginx Proxy Manager installed with Proxmox VE Helper scripts. I need this tool to be installed in LXC and I don't know what causes this error.

I wouldn't anticipate a conflict between an Nginx Proxy Manager LXC and a PVE upgrade, unless the Proxmox VE Shell is not directly being utilized. Is your configuration reliant on a wireless connection instead of an Ethernet connection?

Hello all,

I have the same issue. Any ideas besides a reinstall of the whole OS?

platform regulatory.0: Direct firmware load for regulatory.db failed with error -2
