Hi,
I always got a bad feeling if I upgrade Proxmox using the GUI, because with ZoL and all the kernel changes there is always the chance that nothing will be working afterwards.
Also my Proxmox installation takes some hours because I install Proxmox atop of a Debian and that Debian needs alot of changes to be done.
My Debian/Proxmox is installed like this:
mdraid1 mirror of 2 SSDs -> LUKS -> LVM -> VG -> Debian LV / Swap LV
My Debian LV is 21GB and 10GB is free on the VG for possible snapshots.
Is Proxmox backing up anything if a upgrade is started using the gui? Like a LVM snapshot or something, so the changes can be undone if the upgraded system isn't running anymore?
If not, what would be the best way to manually backup the the system before a upgrade?
