proxmox update and spamassassin custom file

Can custom.cf, local.cf, and other Perl code files in the /etc/mail/spamassassin directory be initialized during a Proxmox update that upgrades the version?

Is there a procedure where other files in the /etc/mail/spamassassin directory can also be initialized? I would like to know in advance.

What do you mean with "initialized"?

* PMG ships the config-files in `proxmox-spamassassin`
* The relevant config that PMG does happens through the templateing system:
https://pmg.proxmox.com/pmg-docs/pmg-admin-guide.html#pmgconfig_template_engine
- so if you need to adapt the config - use the templates as documented
