Proxmox System crash hard with black screen

Hi,

We have here 2 equal proxmox servers in clustermode. This are 2 Standard Intel Dual Core2 Systems with a Hardware RAID 5 from Adaptec. Both proxmox server runs at version 1.2.

During the last days the master server crash 2 times completely. All services are down ( ssh , webgui ). Only a normal ping is working. The Monitor output is black so there is no way to see what happened on screen. The only possibility is to reboot the system completely (Power Off)

After the system start all Virtual Machines working. A intensive search in the logfiles deliver nothing that could stand in combination for the crash.The last entry is the pvemirror daemon. This happen 2 times the last days with the same loginformations.
For the first time now we disable the pvemirror daemon.

Could it be possible the pvemirror daemon crash the system ?
It is recommend to update on 1.3 for this specific problem ?

no, not really.

It is recommend to update on 1.3 for this specific problem ?

using the latest update is always a good idea. But in your case it is more likely a hardware problem.

latest firmware on the raid controller?
latest mb bios?

Check your system with memtest, check the temperature of CPU and HDD (mbmon, hddtemp).

i am too , i am waiting for proxmox 1.4 . I hope my amd-opteron-2214 will run well , not like present situation , a blank sreen .
