[SOLVED] Proxmox & starttls ldap

I recently upgraded my ldap server to starttls and noticed I'm can't get my PVE to communicate with the ldap server anymore.

I've tried a few different configurations in PVE with and without "secure".
The only thing that helps is disabling starttls and using ldap unsecured or with ssl.

I could not find a lot about starttls ldap for PVE. Does PVE support ldap over starttls or am I doing something wrong?
The node I'm working on is using pve-manager/5.2-5/eb24855a.

This is a bug for a long time: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1279 For workaround we use SSL on another port with args in the domain.cfg according to instructions.

no pve has no support for LDAP+STARTTLS at the momment

This is a bug for a long time

this bug is not really related to the issue here (ldaps vs ldap+starttls)

Are there any plans of adding it to pve in the future? I read that it got added to Mail Gateway recently.
