Hello,
I am new to using proxmox or any hypervisor for that matter, I have a standalone server with proxmox 5.1 installed on it. I have a windows 7 virtual machine. I can connect with RDP no problem. I can also connect with spice. I like using spice better, it runs the vm better. My problem is the only way I can seem to connect with virt-viewer is if I open the proxmox gui with chrome, go to the vm, go to console, click the drop down console button and download the .vv file. Then once I open the vm the downloaded vv file disappears and I have to download it again. Is there a simpler way to connect?

It's safe to use RemoteViewer/Spice over the internet? The web interface is encrypted with Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, but port 3128 needs to be open and it's HTTP proxy. Is anything sensitive going through this port-3128?

This daemon listens on TCP port 3128, and implements an HTTP proxy to forward CONNECT request from the SPICE client to the correct Proxmox VE VM

since spice traffic is encrypted, this should not be a problem

We are all running Let's Encrypt SSL certificate on the web interface. Can the spice proxy not run on https instead of http using the same certificate?
Is there a way to achieve this?

Has anyone here managed to do this safely? Also, has anyone found a way to create a client where the user just enters the username and password and can connect the VM using Windows?
With Linux using the following script and GtkDialog as a base, I already managed to get it to work, I just can't share it because at the time I was employed on a project and couldn't bring it with me, but for Windows I have no idea how. https://git.proxmox.com/?p=pve-manager.git;a=blob_plain;f=spice-example-sh;hb=HEAD
