Hi
I should create an assembled server to virtualize 5 old graphics workstations with Win10 operating system, Intel i5 sixth generation cpu, 8Gb of ram and currently video card nvida quadro p2000.

Do you have any suggestions on hardware to buy?

CPU : Intel I7 12 gen
RAM : 128 Gb
Motherboard: Intel® Z690 motherboard (LGA 1700) with at least 4 nvme disk slots.

Another point that I would like to make with proxmox is related to the management of energy consumption.

Is it possible to turn off the server via a script and turn it back on automatically via wake on lan or UPS?

Thanks for your help.

Andrea.

That is a hardware problem, not PVE.

If you want to run 5 workstation at once, you need 5 workstation cards including some USB cards for pinning the input devices to each VM, so you need a board that is able to have 6 or 7 PCIe slots exluding your NVMe stuff. That's not going to be cheap and not plausible with desktop hardware. For a lot of PCIe slots, you need a dual cpu machine to get all the PCIe lanes out. With such a hardware, you cannot build something energy efficient, because you need a lot of hardware, so it'll consume a lot.
