Proxmox server can't ping gateway and cant access the webpage

hello,

I did a fresh proxmox ve 7.0.2 installation on my host machine, and i cannot ping my gateway (192.168.0.1) from my proxmox server. When I try to ping the router/gateway IP address it shows 'destination host unreachable'.
I also cannot access the webpage from a different PC on the same network. I tried https://192.168.0.88:8006 and I get an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.

it's probably your subnet mask. I would guess, that it should be /24 or something

Hi Lorenz,

I've also tried changing my subnet mask to /24 as well but I'm still seeing the same issue.
I also verified that no other device on the network is configured to use the .88 address.
I've also tried curl -s -k https://localhost:8006 | grep title, which I've attached below as well.
Do you know if anything else can cause this issue?

Other steps you can try:

• is the correct interface in your vmbr0
• try arp -ne and arping 192.168.0.1 -i vmbr0

and why did you curl localhost and not something else on the network/internet?

same thing happened to me
If you updated to version 7 please check this on your router

check your BIND IP TO MAC is correct, the MAC may change when you do the update
