Proxmox Restore

We have a proxmox that died, backup wont restore, we had a ZFS pool setup on two SSD's that we ripped out and installed in a new proxmox and reinstalled the SSD now we want to restore the VM config

You will need to recreate the VM configuration from memory (or other backups) and you'll probably can reuse the still existing VM virtual disks. Not a few threads about this on this forum.

What is the error message? Can you still extract the VM config? As @leesteken already wrote is this not stored on the zpool.
