Hello Support team and Experts

we have a Customer with VMware Vsphere in Main site and PROXMOX in DR site, what replication technology and Tools he can use to replicate his VMs across both Hypervisors ?

thank you

With a 3rd party tool this might be possible, but definitely something that needs to be tested. For example Veeam Backups. But, since different hypervisors will show the guest OS a slightly different virtual hardware setup, this process might not be as smooth as you would want it to be.

thank you, what 3rd party tools can be used except Veeam?

Is there anything against using Proxmox VE at the other location as well? That would make things easier.

You can do Veeam Replication to a virtual ESXi under the Proxmox, and then on the DR event you must convert them into Proxmox VM either manually or through the new ESXi import wizard. It's a little bit more lengthy but a conversion is necessary.
