Proxmox PVE dist update break NIC

Hello to All!

As per the title, I performed the dist update for my node (single point to failure) and unfortunately the network interface stopped working. Searching the forum, I noticed several threads about this and tried various suggested solutions, including renaming the network interface in the configuration file (/etc/network/interfaces), but I couldn't resolve it. When I run the "ip a" command, the integrated NIC always stays in the "DOWN" state. Any ideas? Thanks in advance guys

From what to what did you upgrade?

If you pin the prior kernel does it work?

Proxmox has a NIC name pinning tool to avoid naming problems.

Many thanks for replying! From 8.xxx to 9. I tried a rollback to the old kernel 6.8.12-22 (proxmox-boot-tool kernel add) but automatically returns to -23. This my NIC situation (in attach).

Thank you, it's true. But after modify with the correct name the problem is still present.

error: main exception: "RawConfigParser" object has no attribute "readfp". Says for both command

Looks like you messed up the upgrade somehow. If you google for that message you will find existing threads how to fix this. You basically have to set up networking manually and upgrade fully. Please don't quote every message.

What errors? Make sure your nic is up and you can reach the internet as per link first.
