Hello,
To describe the problem. We have two physical servers on hetzner, who are
connected to proxmox cluster. Both of them has configured public IP on interface eth0 ,
and they are both to conected to switch with ID 4000 and have local
IP. 192.168.24.12 and 192.168.24.13 on interface eth0.4000. The connectivity between them is OK.
Both servers are used for proxmox virtualization and have configured
vmbr0 on eth0 interface, for public IP-s of VM's deployed on them, and
vmbr1 on eth0.4000 interface, for private network 192.168.24.X for VM's.
All VM's we deployed on servers receive IP from pool
192.168.24.100-230. We can sucsessfully move VM's between them. One VM, on first physical server,
has IP 192.168.24.1, we use it for VPN and for GW (all VM's, on both hosts, has network settings 192.168.24.X/24, gw
192.168.24.1)
All VM's on one physical servers are able to ping eachother on network
192.168.24.X, same situation is on both servers; the problem is
connectivity between some VM's on different physical hosts. In same
cases the connectivity is working normaly, and for example VM with IP
192.168.24.101 on first physical server, can ping VM with IP
192.168.24.201 on second physical server. But in other case, the VM
with IP 192.168.24.102, which is deployed exactly the same as VM .101 can't ping IP 192.168.24.201.
We notice that in cases when ping doesn't work, there isn't ARP entry
for that problematic IP. Do you maybe have any suggestions hwo to
solve problems or simmilar case that we can reffer to?
