Hey everyone,
I am new with proxmox,
I am build a smart home and I am running a Proxmox on lenovo mini-pc that have Container inside of it that runs Home assistant.
I use a router that is connected to the mini-pc with Ethernet cable, I also added DHCP to the router and set the server to have IP by DHCP protocol.
Its important to say that the proxmox was working perfectly with the GUI in the Ip https://192.168.0.197:8006/ and I was able to connect to it and set up the Home assistant.
So the issue is that after a week of the proxmox working and also the Home Assistant working as regular.. now I can't connect to the https://192.168.0.197:8006/ but the Home assistant that run on it is working perfectly.
I think the issue is with ports or some IP's configuration but I cant find the issue.
Here are some pictures that after research I understood are important:

Also keep in mind that you shouldn't use a static IP that is part of your routers DHCP server IP range. In case you didn't verified that.

So should I just use 192.168.0.254 for example? If my dhcp end in 253?
Just for me knowledge why is that?

Yea I did, but the router is the one that assigns the IP isn’t it?
Only when using DHCP. With a static IP it will ignore DHCP and just use the IP you set there, without asking the router if that is ok.
I need to remove the mini-pc from the DHCP?
Yes, makes no sense when using a static IP.

IPs have to be unique in your network. The DHCP server will make sure it won't assign the same IP to two different DHCP clients. But a host with a static IP will always use it's defined IP, no matter if the DHCP server already assigned that IP to a DHCP client. In that case you got two hosts with the same IP and you run into network problems. So best not to use DHCP servers IP range for static IPs, so this can't happen.

The issue is resolved!
The error was like the all of you said, a collapsing between the DHCP and the static IP,
Thank you all for helping me out understanding!:)

On another topic, my proxmox connection is unstable, sometimes its working and sometimes its not, the container that runs inside of it is stable but only the proxmox it self keep getting disconnected while connected with SFTP, any clue why this is happening?
reboot fixing the issue for like 2 minutes
