Proxmox on laptop - how to set external monitor for duplicate screen

Hey,
so I have proxmox installed on a laptop, it has a HDMI out port and i would like to use it to hook it up to a monitor via kvm switch ( have another OptiPlex with proxmox) but all I get when I connect a monitor vua direct hdmi or via kvm chatrandom switch is a blank monitor. Is there any settings or command I can use to activate the HDMI out and set it to duplicate mode omegle ?
