Hello, I found similar threads however without overlapping with my specific question.

I have an Intel NUC 8th Gen with
  • 32GB of RAM
  • One SSD SATA where I installed Proxmox
  • One SSD Nv.Me which I would reserve for all the VMs and CTs

I am thinking to use ZFS for the Nv.Me drive, but I am not sure if I am going to gain any benefit from it.

Your insights are much appreciated.
Thanks

I would just use LVM-Thin. Keep in mind that ZFS consumes lot of RAM, got alot of overhead and will wear your SSDs very quickly. ECC RAM and enterprise SSDs would be recommended. And when using ZFS with single disk pool, ZFS can only inform you that you lost data because of bit rot but can't do anything against it because you are lacking parity data to fix it.
