Hi,

I've recovered a Quantum dxi 6900 server from my work, is it possible to use it with proxmox?

Regards,

Ok here the specs of my Dxi 6900 Server :
256Go DDR4 ECC
2 CPU Intel Xeon E7540
I have also the Array module (RBOD) and the expansion module (EBOD) which has each 48To (12 SAS HDD of 4 To) 96To in total, 48To in Raid.

No doubt, this machine would run proxmox with these specifications. It would run like a breeze.
Even for a basic homelab the specifications would be a way overkill, considering if you are a beginner to homelabs. For sure this can run ton of Containers and Virtual Machines, i think the machine would be having 12 physical cores?

But with all these Disks and High tdp CPUs and many ram sticks and these machines are pretty outdated, Considering all these this machine would be a total power hog.

Got some info about the power consumption of the machine.

If you are willing to pay for the running cost, You are good to go.
