Hello,

I am so blown away by this that I have to share it with you...

I had a spare Intel Atom system floating around my office. A very simple box based on this board:

Well... I had a suspicion that the Atom was 64bit capable and can you believe it... it is!

After booting up and installing proxmox... with EVERYTHING working... I am pleased to see the system picks everything up as having 4 CPU's

'4 x Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU 330 @ 1.60GHz'

Now.. I know this is not a big box... and that I have a limit of 2GB RAM, but for a small server for doing dev work on... it is a great solution!

(see attachment for proof)

yes, if you just need a low performance system with openvz, atom is the right platform. we run https://demo1.proxmox.com/ on a atom 330 with Proxmox VE and the Proxmox Mail Gateway demo cluster on it.

But you cannot use KVM as there is no VT.
