Hello,

Since some time, the Proxmox server becomes inaccessible by web and SSH after some time of use. Only a reboot makes it accessible again. The VMs are running even if the server is not accessible anymore even if I notice that some VMs can also be impacted by connection problems. The logs are also stopped and the curves in the dashboard do not work during this problem.

I reinstalled from scratch the server but the problem comes back. Do you have an idea?

Hey,

could you post the output of pveversion -v and share journalctl -b(as file)? At around what time did this happen last? Is it possible the PVE host ran out of memory? How much memory does the system have and how much of that is assigned to VMs?

Hello,

Thanks for the information. I also think of a memory problem. The server has 64 gb of physical memory. And the total of my machines 28gb.

I made 3 changes:
- remove the balloning option
- limit the memory usage for ZFS.
- sysctl -w vm.swappiness=10

I think it's a good idea to start (like reading the manual :-) )

Thanks,

Alain
