Hi,

I'm trying to install my first Proxmox VE. I assigned a static IP in the installation process (192.168.4.40). I'm using a Unifi Dreammachine as Gateway, the default network is 192.168.1.x . I created a new network without a DHCP server and assigned VLAN-ID 4 to it in my Unifi controller on the Draemmachine. Next, I assigned the Ethernet port the Proxmox hardware is connected to the VLAN 4. I didn't activate network isolation, the firewall rules have entries "LAN IN"/"LAN OUT" and 192.168.4.0/24 with accept all

If I check in the Unifi controller, proxmox is in the noDHCP network and has IP 192.168.4.40. However, I cannot access proxmox from a webbrowser in the network. Also, I cannot ping proxmox. The other way around also doesn't work: I cannot ping 192.168.1.1 (timeout, that's my gateway IP), the ping to google.com fails (not able to resolve name). I get a ping response on 192.168.4.1.

I'm quite lost what could be the cause of my problem. Any hints or advice?

Thanks a lot!
Bastian

One additional piece of information: I activated the DHCP server for this VLAN and connected a second machine (Mac mini) to the new VLAN. The Mac mini receives a IP address from the DHCP server, and I can ping this device from other machines in the network. Therefore, I guess it's not a general issue of the VLAN but a combination with proxmox.
