Proxmox no longer network accessible

Good Day All,

I have had my proxmox server running for some time. This morning it was not accessible to the network. It hadn't rebooted it is on a UPS. It has a static IP outside of DHCP pool.

I got onto local console and it can not ping the default gateway, but it can ping VMs running on it.

I rebooted several times, which didn't resolve anything. Changed ports and cable on switch..

Didn't see any errors while booting up.

/etc/network/interfaces appears to be fine.

Suggestions as to what to look for?

I am also not see the MAC address on the switches port.

It stopped working on the 2.5g switch port. Moved over to a 1g and it is working. Need to figure out now why 2.5g stopped working...
