Proxmox new Install, merge two 1TB Disk into one

Hello, I wanted cause I got 2x nvme 1TB.
Now after installtion proxmox uses 100GB local and the rest like 850GB for VMs.
But I got 1 TB left for nothing.

Does it make sense to merge them into one or convert like backup if one disk fails?
