[SOLVED] Proxmox Network Issues | New Install

Hello, I did a fresh install 4 times and ensured all settings are the same. Even compared to my working proxmox node and it seems that proxmox can not ping google.com nor can the panel be accessed from anywhere else.

In the ip a result it shows link as online and i can confirm the networking is correct as of the pfsense configuration. The issue is on Proxmox side. I've had this issue when installing my previous proxmox cluster but i forget how it was resolved.

Here are my settings:

eno2 which is used by the internal software switch (vmbr0) shows NO-CARRIER, meaning there is no cable detected. Either you plugged it in the wrong NIC of the two, or the cable or switch it is connected to aren't working.

I can confirm the cable and switch work fine as i have several other devices i have used on the same cable. As for the NIC, It does show as up just not detecting carrier so i belive its the correct nic? Could it be a driver issue? Its using a old ddr3 supermicro server + built into nic on PVE-8

No carrier means, no cable detected in that NIC. Have you tried to plug in the cable to the other NIC? (there is also an eno1, that might be the one with the cable)

You are right. I changed the config to bridge eno1 and changed pfsense mac address and now it is working. Sorry.

My appliance is showing eno1 and eno2 even though only 1 Ethernet jack on the device
