proxmox network connection problem

hi, im really beginner in proxmox and network i just want to share my problem im sure that you can help
i connect by lan cable to the test server that i installed proxmox on it.my proxmax ip is 192.168.100.2 and gateway is 192.168.100.1 i give to my pc 192.168.100.3 and as a gateway 192.168.100.2 but i cannot reach to the server.

IMHO the gateway should be the same for all hots in this network segment (192.168.100.1).

yeah sorry i wrote wrong server and client have same ip gateway ,but ithey cannot ping eachother.
