Proxmox locks up - kernel BUG at net/8021q/vlan.h:47!

Proxmox Virtual Environment 5.4-15

I know this is older version, but recently I have random lockups with following error in syslog:

kernel BUG at net/8021q/vlan.h:47!

After this message Proxmox just freezes, console is not available, keyboard not working, and only cold restart helps.

I do not have possibility to upgrade servers to new version of Proxmox at this moment.

Is there anything I can do?

not sure what exactly the issue is, but there is something triggering a bug in the kernel. since the version you use are EOL, there will be no update to fix it...
i suggest upgrading as soon as possible (also with regards to security updates etc.)
