Hello,

So, I have the latest proxmox (downloaded today). and using KVM I installed a ubuntu desktop client. I turned the vnc client on in ubuntu and when I try and directly connect to vnc on the ubuntu desktop client, it connects, asks for the password, then gives a grey screen. I have tried every version of windows vnc client (ultravnc, tightvnc, realvnc, etc) and they all give the same result, I also tried on Windows 7 and windows xp.

I want to connect directly to the kvm client, not through proxmox. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

search the forum, there are some workarounds just for this (search external vnc viewer)
