Proxmox Issue after Update

Regrettably, I have not restarted this machine in 203 days but have kept up with updating it. I restarted it today after an update involving a new kernel. When I did, the box never came back up. I ipmi'd into through OVH and I can see everything. It booted but the network failed.




When I checked the networking status, I got this:

I just dont know what to do.

I wish I could copy and past from the KVM but I cannot.

Looks like eno1 got renamed to eno1np0. Adjust /etc/network/interfaces accordingly. And you really should reboot more often.

And to prevent something like this from happening in the future, an option would be to pin the naming-scheme, or force a name (to a not-automatically-chosen name) based on the mac-address.
