Hello,

I've tried to install Proxmox 7.0.1 on a Core 2 Duo with 2 giga of RAM. I know, it's an old computer but it's supposed to work.
When I boot with my USB key on which I've burnt Proxomox iso with Balena Etcher, after the BIOS screen the screen flickers a bit.
I'm then redirected to a grub boot screen which boots into Debian 8. I'm prompted with a login screen in which I cannot login (no idea of the credentials).

Anybody faced the same issue?

Best regards,

Zzz

This sounds like there currently is a Debina 8 installed on that machine and it did not boot from the USB stick. You either need to enter the BIOS and change the boot order for the USB drive to be booted first or check if the BIOS offers you a key to press to temporarily override the boot order.

OK, so I am really *that* stupid....
Sorry for wasting your time, it works now!
Thanks!

No problem! I'm glad you got it working :)

I went ahead and marked the thread as solved. You can do so yourself as well in the future if you edit the first post and select the prefix from the dropdown menu next to the title.
